THERE IS MORE TO WEIGHT LOSS THAN COUNTING CALORIES
Applied Weight Loss Nutrition: Science, Strategy & Practice
5 PART LECTURE SERIES
For health practitioners and health-motivated individuals who want to understand the science of weight loss nutrition and learn how to apply it in practice.

Weight loss isn’t as simple as “eat less, move more.”
Behind every client’s goal is a complex mix of physiology, metabolism, mindset, and lifestyle patterns. Without a clear framework, both practitioners and individuals can end up frustrated by stalled progress, fatigue, or unsustainable results.
That’s why this training course goes beyond fad diets and quick fixes.
Over 5 weeks, we’ll explore the science and practical strategies of weight loss nutrition, helping you to separate evidence from myth and build approaches that truly work.

Sports Nutritionist, Naturopath, Lecturer
Kira is an award-winning Sports Nutritionist and Naturopath with over 30 years of clinical experience. She specialises in translating complex nutrition science into practical, real-world strategies that support both everyday health and athletic performance.
Her teaching style is down-to-earth, engaging, and packed with tools you can apply straight away — whether you’re guiding clients or working on your own health goals.
Using her 30+ years of clinical experience, she has combined her knowledge of Naturopathic medicine with education in sports nutrition to create a truly wholistic approach to weight loss and those striving for optimum health - especially women. Having lectured both within Australia and internationally on all things Naturopathic and sports nutrition, she is passionate about teaching people to take care of their bodies for the long term, not just treating them in the present moment. Kira believes that the role of a practitioner is to empower and teach clients to take care of themselves, to give them as much knowledge as possible.
“You offer such a depth of research based knowledge together with interesting cultural and social perspectives in your course. The information shared has given me greater confidence with treatment recommendations, was helpful for my own health and sports training, and reinforced knowledge I have in my work and helpful information for the education sessions I offer.”
Sharon Woolley
RN/IVF nurse. Naturopath. Certified Cycle Coach.
“The whole training was a great dive into honouring physiology and how we can best educate/help our clients to harness their best out of their bodies. As we were going through the material, I was thinking about certain clients and how I could apply what I was learning to each of them. You are a powerhouse of knowledge. 10/10!”
