My 12 Favourite Things For Holiday Health This Festive Season

12 Favourite Things Holiday Health

The holiday season is glorious… and chaotic. Between parties, end-of-year sprints, travel, weather extremes, and the strange time warp between Christmas and New Year’s, it’s easy for health habits to slide into the “I’ll deal with it in January” pile.

But staying well doesn’t have to be complicated. A few smart tools, tasty swaps, and supportive products can make a world of difference for you, your clients, or anyone trying to stay vaguely on track while living their best festive life.

So here it is... My 12 Favourite Things For Holiday Health This Festive Season — including twelve of my favourite products, supplements, gadgets, snacks and supports that genuinely help during this time of year.

And yes, some discount codes too!

🎀 Happy Holidays 🎀

1. Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs)

I’ve been testing Vively and I’ll be posting more about it next week. It’s one of the easiest ways to understand your real-time blood glucose responses, which is incredibly useful for training, energy dips, cravings, and navigating the December “treat table”. CGMs help you personalise your nutrition rather than guessing.

2. Electrolytes (Sugar-Free)

Between heat, travel, training, and celebratory drinks, electrolytes are a lifesaver. My current favourites are LMNT and Hydro — both sugar-free, great flavours, and perfect for hydration without the nonsense.

3. Race Fuel: Gels & Chews

For the runners, cyclists, and triathletes still training (or racing!) over Christmas: GU gels/chews and Clif Bloks are my go-tos. Great flavours, gluten-free, and easy on the stomach when intensity ramps up.

4. Protein Bars & Snack Bars

My two standouts:

  • Chief Collagen Bars – clean ingredients, great texture.

  • Amazonia Raw Vegan Bars – the salted caramel flavour is chef’s kiss.

Perfect for travel days, late-night wrapping, or when the only other option is the shortbread tin.

5. Nutra Organics Goodness

I could write an ode to this brand. Their dehydrated bone broths and new protein water are brilliant. Easy to digest, simple to use, and ideal for the silly season when meals get… creative.

6. Collagen Powders

Pick the one you actually enjoy drinking, that’s the real winner.

Brands I rate:

  • Designs for Health

  • Orthoplex

  • RN Labs

Great for joints, skin, gut health, and anyone ramping up summer training.

7. Magnesium Powders (The MVP of December)

Everyone is tired, training hard, sleeping strangely and maybe having an extra glass of bubbles — magnesium helps.

Top options I love right now:

  • Orthoplex Mag Taur Xcell – brilliant for training and recovery.

  • Designs for Health Tri-Mag Restful Night – sleep support in a glass.

  • Give Back Health Magnesium – new and impressive.

  • Biopractica Basica – more of a mineral powerhouse, almost like an electrolyte mix with benefits.

There truly are many great ones. Find the one that aligns with your needs and taste buds.

8. A Jump Rope

Simple, cheap, portable, and a powerhouse for bone density. A fantastic option if you’re travelling or trying to squeeze in movement between events.

9. Food Tracking Apps

If December feels like a blur, apps help anchor your nutrition. My favourite is MyNetDiary, but Chronometer and MyFitnessPal are solid options too. Use them for awareness, not obsession.

10. Health Trackers

Whether you’re into an Oura Ring, Apple Watch (hi Santa), or any device that helps you notice your trends, data is empowering. Steps, sleep, recovery, HRV… it all helps you stay connected to your body during the busiest time of year.

11. Aelo or Lula Heated Eye Masks

Pure. Bliss.
They’re single-use, heat gently for hours, and feel like a warm hug across your face. I use them on international flights, restless nights, or anytime my eyes feel dry and tired. Magic.

12. Loco Love Chocolate

If you’re going to have chocolate, have good chocolate. Loco Love is vegan, delicious, beautifully balanced, and satisfies with one piece (which is saying a lot from someone who loves chocolate as much as I do).

A Healthier, Happier Holiday Season

The holidays don’t need to derail your well-being. A few smart tools, a sprinkle of planning, and some high-quality treats can make you feel grounded, energised, and actually able to enjoy the season.

If you try any of these, let me know. I love hearing what works for people!

Wishing you a wonderful festive season,
